Sacraments

Baptism
Baptism signifies acceptance of the responsibility of the practice of the faith. Preparation classes are held as needed. Please contact the Parish Office for additional information.

Eucharist
The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. The term “Eucharist” originates from the Greek word eucharistia, meaning thanksgiving.

Confirmation
The sacrament of confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. Preparation classes for eighth graders will be held yearly. Please call the parish office for additional information.

Reconciliation
Reconciliation, or penance, is an important sacrament of healing. Participation in the rite of confession allows the penitent to be freed from their sins and to return to full communion with the church. Reconciliation is regularly held on Saturdays from 4 to 4:30 pm. You may also call the Parish Office to arrange an appointment.

Anointing of the Sick
If you or a family member is facing surgery or a chronic illness, or has been admitted to the hospital, please contact the parish office to schedule this sacrament of healing.

Marriage
Matrimony, or marriage, is seen as a sign of the love uniting spouses in a permanent and exclusive bond sealed by God. Please contact the Parish Office at least six months in advance. No wedding dates will be set until a couple has met with the pastor.

Holy Orders
Those who are considering religious life or priesthood can contact the Parish Office or the Archdiocese Vocations Office for more information.
