Our Needs
A vibrant parish like OLL requires facilities that complement and support such a busy calendar of events. Hosting thousands of people regularly through community events, school functions, and weekly worship activities can accumulate wear and today the facilities (many built decades ago) are in serious need of updating. The mechanical and electrical systems need significant upgrade. In late 2017, a facility assessment was performed that drew attention to the lack of ADA compliance and security of the school. The buildings were constructed over differing time periods in the early to mid-1900s. The needs for safety and accessibility are much different now than in decades past. Additionally, investment into parish assets has been insufficient to meet the current needs. The last capital campaign, in 2006, did not raise enough money to fully address all of the need to bring the facilities into the 21st Century. Funds raised in this campaign will be used to address both the age of the assets and bring school and parish buildings up to date on safety and ADA standards. A significant portion will be used to improve and extend the useful life of the existing facilities and the grounds (parking lots and roadways).
