As the first and primary educators of their children, parents create a family atmosphere animated by love and respect for God and others. Our educators are here to support and reinforce the work of the family. As part of our greater community, parents are invited and encouraged to support the mission of the school through volunteer opportunities.

Parent-Teacher Organization

The goal of the PTO is to maintain a close relationship between parents, teachers, and staff members. Through fundraising efforts, the PTO is able to enhance the educational experience by supporting field trips, author visits, teacher appreciation week, book fairs, and much more.

School Commission

The School Commission is a group of elected or appointed school parents and community members who, together with the principal and pastor, oversee policies and budget. Members of this commission work to include enrollment, school and parish relations, and school development. They meet on the second Tuesday of every month.

Spring Benefit Committee

Our Spring Benefit is the flagship fundraising event each year in April and a vital part of our school’s success. The Spring Benefit committee is a sub-committee of the School Commission chaired by the head of development. Proceeds from the event fund tuition assistance and ensure the continued success of our art, music, and technology programs. Students showcase their music and art throughout the event, with a student art show and silent auction. Student achievements are highlighted, and students participate throughout the evening as volunteer servers, performers, and guides.

An annual honor, the Philip J. Wilhelm Living Legacy Award, is presented to a person(s) who exemplifies dedication to the school through years of donating their time, talent, and treasure.

Facilities Committee

The Facilities Committee is a committee under the School Commission. This committee oversees the maintenance and improvements of all things pertaining to our school building and grounds.

Men’s Club

The Men’s Club began more than 50 years ago under the leadership of Monsignor Lyons. Today, the club contributes its time, talent, and treasure to support our athletic programs, our school, the church, and the community at large. The Men’s Club is open to all adult male parishioners and fathers of students at Our Lady of Lourdes school.

Coaching Athletics

Adult family members are needed to give our students the opportunity to participate in many different sports, such as football, basketball, wrestling, cross-country, kickball, volleyball, baseball, and softball.
If you are interested in sports and passing your knowledge and skill to our students, we want your help!

Classroom Helpers

Volunteers are needed for the library, office, teacher’s aides, and playground and cafeteria supervision. This additional help makes it easier to attend to the needs of our students. Parents truly do make a difference at Our Lady of Lourdes school!
